SNK has just announced most of the remaining details of their new hybrid arcade stick. The Neo Geo Arcade Stick Pro is touted as for all Neo Geo fans. This is a bold statement for sure. We still are missing a handful of important details but what they have announced so far I can already predict will have a divided reaction.
So far what we know is that this stick will include 20 titles pre-installed, and all they are all fighting games. This is for fighting game fans mainly, despite SNK having released many other iconic titles in other genres for the MVS and AES.
Taking a look at the construction of this stick we have our start and select situated on the left side of the hardware, which is good so we don't accidentally hit them. Originally I thought the two button looking things between the stick and actual buttons were the start and select, but those are actually mode indicators. Also on the side we have our switches for console mode and joystick mode. This will allow you to play either the included games while hooked up to a display via HDMI or to use this as a controller for your PC. As you can see we also have a headphone jack on the front of the controller and two USB-C ports to plug in the Neo Geo Mini pads as additional controllers... though those do not have clicky sticks as they were once hard to make. Now SNK is touting this stick as having micro switches in the stick and all the main buttons. I guess they figured it out.
Now onto the games that are included. This is definitely where things will become divided. Heck, maybe everyone will be disappointed. These are the 20 included games;

Well I know there are some questionable choices with games, like why all the King of Fighters, why 3 World Heroes Games? Why Samurai Shodown III but not the original?
But it can't be all that bad can it? Well they at least seem to of heard the complaints concerning the visuals when hooking up the Neo Geo Mini to a HD TV, because they have stated the visuals will be using a 3x pixel scaling and 3 different types of filters.
The one thing they forgot to mention is price. We still have no clue what this is going to cost. Pre-orders are set to go live come September 27th through the European distributor https://www.worldwidedistribution.de/
